Julie Seal is a movement director, dancer and choreographer living and working in New York. She believes there is truth in movement and seeks to create work that is imaginative, unexpected, and honest.
Julie is currently working with Dishman +Co. under the direction of Elizabeth Dishman in development of a new work, “Belly.” From 2015-2020 she was a company member of Third Rail Projects performing as an opening cast member of The Grand Paradise, as well as the roles of Red Queen, White Queen and Hatter in the Bessie Award winning production, Then She Fell. From 2019-2020 she served as rehearsal director for Then She Fell. Other immersive theater performances include Roll The Bones’, Galleria Esperienza, and Kristen Carcone’s, Dinner Is Served . She has also performed in works by Robin Becker, Niles Ford| Urban Dance Collective, and Mark Dendy.
Julie is available to collaborate on dance projects as well as movement direction and coaching for film and live performance, choreography, and rehearsal direction/ creative consultation.
